THE USE OF AEROPLANES FREE STATE EXPERIMENT [ British Official Wireless. ] RUGBY, Aug. 20. ’lt was officially stated in Dublin today that the Irish Free State Post Office has sanctioned the experiment of transferring mails from the North German Lloyd liner Karlsruhe, when she arrives at Galway to an aeroplane which will be piloted to London by Colonel Russel of the Free State Air Force. Correspondence will be impressed with a rubber stamp bearing the words, “Experimental Air Mail, Galway to London.” No special charge will be made. The liner is expected on Monday.
