BOOKMAKER FINED
POLICE RECEIVE BETS. [ Per Press Association. ] INVERCARGILL, May 11. Arthur Edwin Butt, tobacconist and hairdresser, was fined by Mi- Woodward, S.M., £5O for carrying on the business of a bookmaker. The police stated that Butt was in a fairly large way and on the day of the raid bets totalled £BO while several telephone rings were received by the police making further wagers.
