Prime heavy wethers sold at 41s to 44s (id, prime 38s to 39s 6d, light prime 33s to 35s 6d, best ewes 32s to 35s 3d, prime 24s to 28s, light 19s to 21s. Prime*wethers sold on a basis of 6Jd, and prime ewes 4fd per lb. There was a penning of .192 lambs of medium to very fair quality, with a few pens of extra prime animals. Prime lambs sold at 19s 6d to 325, medium 255, unfinished 21s to 23s a head. Light prime lambs sold on a basis of 9jd, and heavy sorts BAd per lb. About 200 head of store, cattle were offered. The yarding included several pens of bullocks, but the bulk comprised young mixed cattle and cows. There was little demand for most classes, and prices showed a reduction of about 7s 6d a head as compared with the rates which ruled two weeks ago. Three-year-old bullocks sold at £lO to £ll ss. The pig entry consisted of 87 fats and 102 stores. There was an improved demand and most classes were clearedWeaners sold at 10s to 13s, slips 18s to 20s, stores 30s to 355. Prime baconers sold on a basis of 7{d per lb ami prime porkers 7d per lb.
