SPIRIT MESSAGE

THE TIME OF PASSING (Per Press Association., HAMruWN, April If. ' Air 8. G, Fetherston, n Hamilton journalist ami spiritualist, who died on board the Tofua between Suva and Nukualofa, on April 1, wrote on the eve of his death a letter to the Waikato Times stating that he was in fair health, but the spirits had informed him his passing was near. The letter states: “Permit me to add my quota to the recent debate in your columns with respect- to the reality of spiritualistic phenomena. Publicity was some time ago given to predictions as to my death not being verified by tho event. To these predictions I did not myself give any great credence, necause of evident lack of authority’, but now at the moment of writing, while in fair health. I am in receipt of a spirit message direct to myself, that the time of passing is at hand. I await tho outcome with interest. The message seems of high authority. I confess to accepting it with confidence. It affords a fair tost. I pen this at sea between Suva and Nukualofa.—S. G. Fetherston.’’ I Mr Fetherston had previously published in his magazine, “The Motorist,” an alleged spirit prediction that he would end his earthly labours on January 10 last.
