Tn the recent sheep-stealing cases tha police had difficulty owing to the. failing to failure to register brands. In order to impress on them the importance of obeying the law requiring registration the police to-day prosecub ed Edwin Charles {Shepherd, farmer, o{ Huntly district, on two charges relatin., to failure torcgis*er brands. Detective Whit’e said there was no reflection on the integrity’ of defendant. Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M., imposed a fine of £1 on each charge.
