INTERESTING ARTICLES SERIES FOR “CHRONICLE” Rugby enthusiasts will l»p pleased to learn that the “Chronicle” has been able to arrange for a series of weekly articles during the Rugby season from the pen of the authority on matters apertaining to the oval ball code who contributed such interesting and authoritative rulings to the columns of this paper up to the end of h<‘ season of 1927, writing under the pen-name of 11 Ri'feree.” During the 1929 season, under the pen-name of “Atkcy,” lhe contributor will run a column explain’ng points that crop up in connection with rules and rulings, and the cordial co-opera-tion of referees, players and Rugby enthusiasts is invited. Questions will be answered through the column, incidents discussed and rulings detailed, examined and explained, all with a view to securing effective uniformity throughout the district regarding Rugby rules. The contribution this week will be a dissertation on the “scrummage” rule, with remarks and observations on the manner in which the rule operates with, either two or three men in the front, row of the .scrum.
