TRANSPORT OF SHEEP
LOADS AFTER DARK. [ Special “Chronicle” Service ] WELLINGTON, April 16. There seems every prospect of the project uf the New Zealand Sheepowners’ Federation to prevent the transport of sheep after dark being favourably received by the authorities. It is recognised that prevention of transport of sheep into motor lorries <‘r motor trucks would help to restrict the activities of sheep thieves. If, however, the Federation aims at preventing transport by rail, it is unlikely that their object will be achieved.
