BOGUS TRADESMAN
APPEARS BEFORE COURT [ Per Pr-’di Association j BLENHEIM, April 16. Roy Francis, aged 35, was charged with vagrancy and secondly that at Christchurch on December 24 ho imposed on Charles John Morrison by falsely representing himself as a brass plato cutter, and obtained £2, for which he agreed to cut the firm’s name on a plate, and w’hich ho failed to do. Accused pleaded guilty to the first charge and was sentenced to seven days in gt 01. On the second charge accused advised the police that he would plead guilty, but the police are awaiting instructions from Christchurch. Therefore, on the second count accused was remanded till April 24.
