Veale, of Hawera, who contributes the interesting letter on the I recent discolouration of Westmere Lake, Wanganui, is the research chcm- | ist who controls the Scientific Department of the Federation of Taranaki I Co-operative Dairy Factories. There passed away at Taupo on Alonday a well-known and highly esteemed I identity in the person of Air Joseph | Crowther. The late Air Crowther had many friends in Wanganui who will regret to hear of his demise. Of a genial disposition he endeared himself to a wide circle and will be greatly missed hy visitors to, and residents of, the Taupo (list :ct.
