THE CATHOLIC VIEWPOINT IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION (Australian Press Assr.-l LONDON, April 12. Cardinal Bourne in his presidential address to thp Catholic Truth Society, said that only one question at the decions concerned horn as Catholics, namely, education. The Bishops of England and ‘Wales were most anxious that the question should not become a matter of party politics. ‘‘We are properly interesTed in the Empire, unemployment, disarmament, and everything making for world peace, but education demands our earnest attention, because we are Catholics and the interests of the Catholic Church in this country are m our hands. We are going to put the position before each party in order that no candidate will be able to say sixmonFiP hence that he did not know what .the Catholics wanted.”
