WEAK SIGNALS MAY BE AMUNDSEN. NOBILE REPORTED INJURED. [ Australian Press Assn. I LONDON, June 24. The icebreaker Malygin reports that picked up weak wireless signals which it suggested may be from Amundsen. If so Amundsen must be within 60 miles, as neither he nor the icebreaker are able to speak more than that distance. A message from King’s Bay states that the alnding of the Swedish aeroplane named Upland was a masterpiece in aeronautical skill. Owing to the shifting ice, which was splitting rapidly, icefloes weighing many tons were being tossed about like corks. During the excitement of the Upland’s landing General Nobile was struck by ice, the bones in his leg being shockingly broken. His condition made it essential for him to be rushed to the Quest, though his companions had to bo left behind.
