HUNTING. f Special "Chronicle” Service. 1 The hunting season was continued in glorious weather on Saturday afternoon, the meet being at the Moumohaki Cross Roads. A start was made with a good run on Mr A. J. Walkihton’s property, with several good runs following, the hounds taking the huntsmen over Messrs Symes’, Bradley’s and Aiken’s properties at a fast rate. The main south road was crossed and bunny was raised ifl Mr T. E. Tallott’s property. An exciting chase followed and resulted in a kill. At the close of the afternoon’s sport the visiting huhtsinen Were entertained to afternoon tea by Mr and Mrs J. A. Aiken prior to embarking by train for the north. Dr. Simmons (Master) extended the club’s thanks to Mr and Mrs Aik.en for their courteous consideration in this respect, his remarks being enthusiastically endorsed by the huntsmen. Dr. Simmons said the club fully appreciated the many acts of courtesy and asssitanee Which were rendered by the farmers throughout the district during the hunting season. He also thanked the various gentlemen over whose properties tho hunt had been conducted that afternoon. PERSONAL. Constable. Fitzgibbon resumed duty on Monday, after being off duty for annual leave.
