WORKMAN'S DEATH
DRANK LINIMENT REASON FOR. ACT A MYSTERY [ Per Press Association ) CHRISTCHURCH, June 7. Solomon Rowe, aged 62 years, drank liniment prescribed by a doctor for external application and died from the effects in the Christchurch Hospital this morning. This was the substance of the verdict at the inquest to-tday by the Coroner, Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M. Rowe, it was stated had been for 20 years employed by the County Council and had lately been given three months’ notice. This had made him depressed. After hearing the evidence the Coroner found that the cause of death was poisoning, but that there was insufficient evidence to show whether it was taken accidentally or intentionally.
