OPPONENTS OF MODERNISM A new sect, known as the Irish Evangelical Church, has been founded in the North of Ireland, with headquarters at Belfast. It consists of seceders from the Irish Presbyterian Church, and is led by the Rev. James Hunter, former minister of Knock Church, Belfast, who took a prominent part in the recent heresy trial at the General Assembly.
