RISE IN PRICES t Per Preßi- Association. j FEILDING, April 20. At the Fcilding stock sale there was a medium entry of about 2500 sheep. Lambs met with brisk demand, most classes .showing a fair rise on late rates, especially in fat pons. Prices were as follow: Sheep.—Eat b.f. lambs 21s 3d, 25s sd, 22s 8d to 23s Gd, fat ewes 19s Go, 20s lOd, 21s 7d, 22s Gd, 23s 4d to 24s 7d, fat wethers 31s to 33s Bd, fat maiden ewes 30s, woolly b.f. lambs 23s to 28s 4d, fat and forward wethers 30s, ewe lambs 20s 5d to 27s lOd, wether lambs 17s 6(1 to 18s Id, empty ewes 12s 3d to 14s, b.f. lambs 12s 7d to 16s 4d, 2-tooth ewes r.w. S.D. rams 31s 10id, 4 and 5 year ewes ditto 18s 6d to 2Cs Sd. Cattle.I—The 1 —The entry consisted mainly of store cows, dairy weaners and fat cattle. Dairy weaners, fat cattle, dairy cows in milk and springing heifers sold well up to late rates* Fat cattrc were in good demand and sold at rates. Jersey weaner, heifers met with a dragging sale and most of the larger lines were passed in. Fat cows £4 17s Gd to £8 7s Gd. fat heifers £3 10s to £6 14s, speyed fat heifers £6 18s, fat and forward heifers and bullocks £lO 16s, store bullocks £5 10s to £9 7s, cows in milk, £5 10s to £l3, springing cows £lO tn £ll 10s, springing heifers £4 10s to £ll 10s, weaner heifers 37a. to £2 18s. store cows £2 10s to £4 10s. potter bulls £2 12s 6d to £6.
