SOLICITOR ARRESTED
MISAPPROPRIATION ALLEGED TRUST MONEYS MISSING [ Per Press Association ) AUCKLAND, April 20. The police to-day arrested John Henry V’ictor Mansill, solicitor, aged 30, at whose meeting of creditors yesterday allegations were made regarding misappropriation of trust moneys. Later he was charged in the Police Court witl stealing £5lO, the property of Norman Alexander Whyte, insurance inspector. Chief Detective Hammond asked for a remand until next Thursday. Air Giescn, for accused, said it was well known that accused had filed his petition in bankruptcy and had handed over what assets ho had. It was not known what bail could be obtained but it was suggested the amount fixed should be as Jow as possible.
Air Hammond said he understood two bondsmen would be willing tn guarantee £250 each and this was the lowest that would be accepted. The remand was granted, bail being fixed at £5OO, which was later obtained by accused.
