Mr and Mrs Summerell, of Wanganui, are motoring to Wellington for a few days.
Mr G. M. Lloyd, for some years managing clerk for Mr A .D. Brodie, leaves Wanganui at the end of this month to join the staff of Messrs r 1lan and Gallaway, of Dunedin, as common law assistant to Mr J. B. Callan.
The Fielding Star states that Mr H. J. McManaway, of Bulls will be a candidate in the Parliamentary elections, standing in the Manawatu district in the interest of the United Party.
At the annual meeting of the Hinemoa Hockey Club last evening the customary tribute was paid to the memory of the late Mr 8. Kcrnohan, one of the vice-presidents of the club, whose death occured last year.
