Mr Frank Curtis of Ashburton, is on a visit to Wanganui.

Ayson, who for many years occupied the position of Chief Inspector of Fisheries,” states the annual report of the Wanganui Acclimatisation Society. “Air Ayson was a valuable friend to this Society, and his helpful advice and assistance were at all times freely given. The Dominion has lost a great man, -but the results of his work in the interests of the Dominion fisheries will live for ever.”

A British official wireless message states that the death has taken place of Lord Dalziel, formerly Sir Davison Dalziel. lie was closely connected, with many important commercial enterprises. He was best known to the public as president of the International Sleeping Car Company, and largely through his efforts the company has extended its services throughout Europe, one of its many achievements being the blue train to the Riviera, which is considered the finest train in the world. Among other things Lord Dalziel introduced the motor cab to London, personally guaranteeing the £250,000 required to finance the first motor cab company.
