PERSONAL AND GENERAL [ Special “ Chronicle " Service J The Rev. C. K. Kendon and family arrived here on Friday Mr Kendon took the services at fclandon on Sunday morning and at Kongotea on Sunday evening. The induction service is tu be held at Ruugotea this evening. Th e local footballers were out for n breather on Saturday afternoon. A fair number were present and a good practice game was indulged in. The few showers that fell during the week were very welcome to all around. The motor traffic during the Easter holidays was fairly heavy, and whi?e the general run of motorists travelled at a moderate speed, there were a few who took advantage of the new road to try the speed of their cars. The inspector will be on duty some time on Sunday and the unwary ones may have ro explain their haste.
