ROWING
HEAD OF THE RIVER TO-DAY’S CONTEST. The annual head of the river eightoar race between the three local rowing clubs will be held this afternoon over the championship course, finishing at Calvcr’s Corner. The race is timed to start at 4 p.m., the crews being as follow: Union Boat Chib. —C. A. Healey (str.), Galbraith, A. Moss, W. Kruse, R. Cutelli, S. New, R. Prince, T. Quirke (bow). Wanganui Club.—F. Boulton (str.), D. Caiman, E. Durie, W. Carlson, T. Hobbs, N. Foster, 8. Friend, A. Gurney (bow).
Aramoho Club.—R. Coxon (str.). R. Abercrombie, L. Haywood, D. Mill, C. Gurr, W. Health, N. Harper, D. Purnell (bow).
