ALLEGED LIBEL
CASE IN SAMOA NEWSPAPER STATEMENT LEADS TO ACTION. | (A. & N.Z.) APIA, March 30. The Samoan Guardian is being sued £or alleged libel, the claim being £l,OOO, by Alfred McCarthy. Plaintiff is acting police commissioner. The action is based on a report in the Guardian attributing to the commissioner a statement that the arrest of Tamascse, ordered by the commissioner, had been a mistake for which an apology had been made.
