THE STEELMAKER
NEED OF ASSISTANCE VESSEL MAY BE REFLOATED. (A. & N.Z.) SYDNEY, March 29. Wireless reports state that tic American steamer Steelmaker is ashore al Mitchell Island Reef. She is resting quietlv, but is in urgent need of assistance. The Mitehell group is the most southerly of the Ellice Islands. A Susa message states: —The Steelmaker was reported yesterday evening to be two-thirds on the reef, and the sea was smooth. She is awaiting assistance from Tutnila. There is no danger and there aro hopes that she Will be refloated.
