FINAL MEETING
ELECTRIC LIGHT SPORTS. The final meeting of the Wanganui Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club was held last evening at Cook’s Gardens, when there was not a very large attendance, owing probably to the approach of the cold weather. There were no competitors from outside centres, but the programme submitted proved very interesting. Results of the races were:—
100yds. championship (Marshall Cup).—Wellington 1, Newton 2, G. Broad, 3. Time 10 3-sscc.
Half-mile handicap (Zinox Cup).—F. McLean, 30yds, 1; Moore, 60yds., 2; Pawson, scr., 3. Time 2min. 3 3-ssec.
