MR COOK ONCE MORE

PAMPHLET DENOUNCED

“FULL OF FALSEHOODS,” SAYS TRADE UNION COUNCIL. Received March 29, 10.40 p.m. (Sun Cable) LONDON, March 29. The Council of the Trades Union Congress has issued a statement strongly condemning Mr A. J. Cook’s pamphlet entitled “Mond and Moonshine,” referring- to employers’ and trades unionists’ meetings.

The Council declares the pamphlet to be full of inaccuracies, misrepresentations and deliberate falsehoods, and says it was obviously written to discount and damage the Council’s prestige and authority.

The Council is reporting the matter to the Miners’ Federation as a wilful violation of the understanding that recriminations should cease between the Federation and the Council.

Mr Cook declares the pamphlet was written before the understanding was reached.
