THE SOLOMONS TROUBLE STATEMENT BY MR AMERY (A.P.A.-Sun) LONDON, March 28. Air L. S. Amory, in reply to a question in the House of Commons said that the first arrests of tribesine: in the Solomons arising out of the recent trouble were made on October 31, 1927, and 191 had been arrested to February 6, 1928.

He had. no knowledge of the total at present detained at Sinaraigo. A judicial official -who had been sent from Fiji for the trials was expected |to reach the Solomons at the end of March. The Commissioner who would conduct the inquiry was due at the Solomons in June.
