Corruption and Prohibition are Important Issues
THE AMERICAN PRESIDENCY (By Telegraph -Per Press Assn.—Copyright.) Received March 29, 8.50 p.m, (A. A N.Z.) NEW YORK. March 29. Originally' stressing prohibition as the paramount Presidential issue, Senator Boran, in a widely broadcast radio speech to-nigh* warned the Republican Party that both corruption and prohibition cannot be avoided in the coming campaign. He said: “It looks as if we are go- ( ing to have a bitter campaign, in which no man will be safe and no woman spared who comes within the reach of the firing line. It is proposed in the campaign, by the leaders of both parties, to trade principles for votes.” Senator Borah added that corruption and prohibition were questions closely affecting the constitution and neither parties nor voters could escape these issues.
