THE SEASON’S WORK CUP COMPETITIONS COMPLETED The warm weather experienced during the last Throe months was responsible for a large attendance at Castlecliff, and it is pleasing to note that the surf club has been able to run off the competitions for their various cuds and shield during the week-ends, and great enthusiasm has been shown by members. The final contest for the Gibson Cup was held during the last week-end, when, despite a heavy surf, three teams lined up before the judges, Alessrs D. Robins and T. Anderson.
The results of the. season’s competi tions are as follows;—
Hackshaw Searle Shield. —Al. Waller (capt.), L. Fromont, T. Ennis, T. Quirke, Al. Newth, H. Stiver, W. Jamieson.
President’s Cup.—B. Currie (capt.), W. Gumbloy, AL Newth, 0. Afaitland. Beltman’s Championship.— AL Wnl.lor.
Gibson Cup.—L. Fromont (capt.), Al. Waller, B. Currie, W. Jamieson.
