RABBITSKINS
WELLINGTON SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, report: —We held our first sale of rabbitskins for the 1928 season in Wellington on Tuesday, -when we submitted a good catalogue to an attendance of Southern buyers., furriers and the local trade. Considering the quality of the skins brought forward, we found prices compared very favourably with the last Southern sales. On the prices secured by us to-day, there is every indication that values for good sound and well-stretched skins will be well up to prices ruling last season. Our super winter bucks sold up to 97id an 1 first winter bucks to 90jd. A sma'l parcel of super winter blacks fetched 96d.
The following is the range of prices: Runners and suckers, to 274 d; summers, to 26fd; light racks, to 41Jd; prime racks, to 44|d; early autumrr, to 481 d; milky does, to 25d; wint' r 8.5., to 52d; spotted winters, 60L1; winters F.S., to 62d; second winters, to 78d; first winter bucks, to 904 d; super d 0.,, 97Jd; winter blacks, to 72d; super winter blacks, to 96d; hareskins, to 40d; small, to 21 d.
