AMATEUR ATHLETIC AND CYCLING CLUB. [ Special "Chronicle” Serviea. 1 A meeting of the AVaverley /athletic and Cycling Club was held on Alonday evening, a splendid attendance being most encouraging to the organisers of the newly-formed club. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Air H. G. Dickie, ALP.; president, Air H. Bradmorc; vice-presidents, Alessrs J. E. Palmer, J. P. Wybourne, G. H. Graham, J. Currie and D. Forsyth; auditor, Air J. C. Gray; delegate to Centre; Air G. Campbell.
It was resolved that the official club colours be black with white hoops. Prizes for the forthcoming meeting were donated as follows:—Points prize for field and cycling events: Air AV. 11. James; schoolboys’ race: Alessrs S. J. Taylor and E. C. Dallison; school-girls’ race: Alessrs S. Aiken and E. C. Dallison.
Tho following are the officers for the meeting, which takes place on Saturday: Judges, Messrs Ericcson, Alonaghan and Forsyth; timekeeper, Air H. Bradmorc; lap steward: Air S. Afar riott; call stewards: Messrs E. Parkinson and D. AValker.
