SITUATION IN IRAQ
REPORTS DISCOUNTED THE WAHABI RAIDS, (A.P.A.-Sun). LONDON. March 27. Jafar Pasha has arrived in London. In an interview he said that he did not attach much importance to rumours of Wahabi and other raids and the talk about a Jehad was exaggerated.
The Wahabis’ excuse that the erection of frontier forts justified the raids was without foundation. The nearest tp a fort was merely a police post seven miles from the frontier.
