Kaierau applied for Spriggens Park to play the annual match against Oriental (Wellington) on Easter Saturday. Pirates desired a ground on Saturday next for practice. It was resolved that the application's be granted and that Pirates have the use of the A. and P. ground and that tho other matches be allotted grounds by the grounds committee. Sub-Union Matches.

A suggestion from tho Wanganui Old Boys’ Club that preference be given to the playing of club games on Saturday and that Sub-Union gimes be played on week-days, was refened to the Fixtures Committee. Permission to Travel.

Some discussion arose as to the appointment of gate-keepers, Mr Laws contending that unemployed ex-foot-ballers should be given preference.

It was pointed out that the positions were extremely important and it was not desirable that there should be any change. It was ultimately decided that appointments be made by the treasurer subject to the approval of the supervision committee.

Use of Training Sh-ed. The matter of the allotment of nights on which the training shed at Spriggens Park may be used by various clubs was referred to the Grounds Committee. Pirates were granted permission for to-night, but it was made clear that this decision did not prejudice tho later arrangements of the Grounds Committee. Sub -Committees.

Season Tickets.

It was decided that the price of season tickets this year be 25s for gentlemen and 17s fid for ladies, 2s of the former and Is of tho latter to be allocated to the accident fund. Mr Blennerhassett said that it was a matter of regret to the Union that the charges had to be increased,, but the finances had to be carefully studied. There were three "cuts” on the price of season tickets before the Union itself benefited, the Wanganui Rugby Council, the Accident Fund and the Amusement Tax each taking a quota. * Mr Hague-Smith said he had gone carefully into the matter and estimated that patrons received £2 10s worth of football for the price of a season ticket. The decision to increase the price was carried with reluctance. Classification. Tho co-operation of the Referees’ Association is to be sought in the matter of checking the classification of players in the various grades. Individual referees are to be asked to report on players who in their opinion are not correctly graded and the classification committee is to have jurisdiction accordingly. Appreciation.

Eulogistic references wore made to Mr Gordon Thompson’s activities with regard to Rugby and the meeting decided to place on record its appreciation of his valued services rendered over a long period.
