A MONTE CARLO RAID
RISKY BUT PROFITABLE
WEALTHY WOMAN'S JEWELS STOLEN.
Received March 27, 11.20 p.m. (A. & N.Z.) MONTE CARLO, Mar. 27 While Madam de Bittencourt, a wealthy Brazilian, was absent at a motor show, thieves, in broad daylight, raided her suite at the Hotel de Paris, and stole jewellery valued at £50,000.
The jewels included a pearl neck lace valued at £30,000.
