CALL FOR HELP
STEAMER’S S.O.S. SEARCH WEST OF HONOLULU Received March 27, 5.25 p.m. (A. & N.Z.) SAN FRANCISCO, March 26. Two United, 1 States destroyers and a minelayer are searching west of Honolulu for the steamer British Hussar.
The latter’s signals were faint and read: 1 ‘Help wanted urgent.” The steamer Ventura and Niagara heard the call.
