DIED ABROAD

WELL-KNOWN PASTORALIST MR G. T. SEYMOUR. | Per Press Association. J BLENHEIM, March 27. Cabled advice has been received of the death at Bordighera, Italy, of Mr George Turner Seymour, a well-known Marlborough pastoralist, who, aecompained by his wife, left last June on an extended tour of Europe. Mr Seymour’s health had been very bad for a long time. He was 66 years of age, and was the eldest son of the late Mr A. P. Seymour, a former Superintendent of Marlborough Province and a Member of Parliament. Mr G. T. Seymour devoted himself to pastoral pursuits and took no part, in political life, but he was a good athlete. Ho will be remembered among old rowers as stroke of the famous Seymour fours, several times second in the champion fours race and representing Now Zealand in the inter-State fours in Australia. He is survived by his widow anil three brothers, Messrs Walter Seymour, of Havelock, Arthur Seymour, of Ngakutr., Queen Charlotte Sound, and F. G. Seymour, of Woodville, and by two sisters, Mrs G. B. Richardson and Miss Seymour, of Picton. Airs Seymour is Provincial Commissioner in the Girl Guides movement.
