AND PRICES HIGHER Peak Values Reached at Final Wool Sale GOOD AUCTION AT WELLINGTON. [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, March 26. The final Wellington wool sale was held to-day, when 20,880 bales were offered to a full bench of buyers representing all markets. The sale reached peak prices of the season. Competition was keen with prices in excess of brokers’ estimates. There was a rise of lid to twopence on the February rates for fine wools. Lambs’ wool was on a par and coarse wools were a penny to lsd up.

The Chairman of the Wool Brokers’ Association describes the sale as extremely satisfactory. The following is the range of prices:

Merino— d. d. Average 21$ to 24$ Inferior to 204

Fine Halfbred— Average 23 to 26 Inferior 19$ to 22

Medium Halfbred— Average 221 to 26 inferior 174 to 21

Coarse Halfbred.— Super 23$ to 24 Average 204 to 23$ Inferior 16$ to 19$

Fine Crossbred— Super 21$ to 24 Average 19 to 214 Inferior 15$ to 18$

Medium Crossbred—■ Super 20$ to 22$ Average .174 to 20 Inferior 12 to 17

Coarse Crossbred—■ Super 18 to 20 Average 16$ to 18$ Inferior 12 to 15$
