UNEXPECTED OPPOSITION DUTCH CHUBCHE’S BAN .<A it N.Z.) AMSTERDAM, March 26. Seven clergymen belonging to the Gereformerde Church are opposing the Olympiad because it is contrary to the principles of loving God above all anri one’s neighbour as oneself. The Olympiad, they claim, exalts the strongest to the place which Goa alone should occupy, while the neighbour craving notoriety and glorification allows himself to be exploited: to satisfy the masses’ craving for sensation. This is opposed to all sac ted Commands. The Gereformerdes have decided ou »n evangelising campaign throughout the Olmypiad in the neighbourhood or the stadium, urging people not to accommodate foreigners visiting the games.
