MR RANSOM AND MINISTER FORMER OFFERS FURTHER CHALLENGE. [ Per Press Association. 1 DANNEVIRKE, March 1. Mr E. A. Ransom, M.P., in a further reply to the Minister of Lands respecting the former’s proposal of loans to farmers to engage the unemployed, quotes the reply of tire lion. AV Downie Stewart to his question in the House, and alleges that Mr McLeod, in conversation, agreed therewith, thus establishing Mr Ransom’s argument that his proposal was 'inclined to be too popular. He challenges the Minister to meet him on the public platform anywhere, provided he gives him a week's notice.
