MUNICIPAL PROGRESS
CITY OF WELLINGTON LOAN PROPOSALS CARRIED [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Nov. 22. Three loans, totalling £290.875, were carried at a poll of ratepayers to-day, 7137 ratepayers voting out of a total on the roll of 28,853. For the street paving loan of £201.000. 3548 voted in favour and 3314 against. For the construction of footpaths loan of £63,000, 4659 voted in favour and 2818 against. For the conveniences loan of £26.875, 4025 voted in favour and 2762 against. This loan of 290,875. when presented In one issue, was rejected by the ratepayers in September last.
