WAITOTARA VALLEY ROAD LOAN PROPOSAL FOR METALLING The proposal to metal th© Waitotara Valley Road was advanced a further i stage yesterday when the matter was discussed at the monthly meeting of the Waitotara County Council. A copy of a letter from the Minister of Public Works (Hon. EL S. Williams) to Mr H. G. Dickie, was received, and it was therein stated that £2,400 was the amount to be found by th© Patea County Council, and £1,200 would be the Waitotara County Council’s share. The Government subsidy would be £2 1 for £l. A committee was set up to meet the settlers and go into the matter of the loan proposal.
