AN AMAZING FRAUD
FAKED BONDS CZECHOSLOVAKIAN ARRESTED (A. & N.Z.) PARIS, Nov. 8. Le Matin publishes a story of an extensive fraud by which hundreds of Hungarian pre-war bonds were falsified by means of acid and then newly stamped so as to be convertible in France into gold. The plot was detected when the bonds were presented at the bank, and resulted in the arrest of a Czechoslovakian banker, John Blumerstein.
