BRITISH MIGRANTS
TO SETTLE IN AUSTRALIA LOAN TO THE COMMONWEALTH (A & N.Z.) SYDNEY, Nov. 8. After a conference between the State Cabinet and Mr L. S. Amery, the Preimer, Mr T. R. Bavin said that the Government intended to sign an agreement between the Federal and British Governments by which £34,000,000 is being lent to the Commonwealth for the settlement of British migrants. The States signing the agreement are entitled to a share in this money. Mr Lang’s Government refused to sign the agreement.
