MOSCOW, Nov. 7. The cHmar to ten days* revolution anniversary festivity was an amazing of military power. Twenty-five thousand picked troops, commanded by the War Minister, M. •Voroshiloff. paraded in Red Square, their movements being accompanied by the thunder of cannon and the blare of military music—an army vastly different from the mob of ragged, hungry troops whom Lenin originally drafted into the Red Army. ( As division after division of welltmiformed and perfectly equipped infantry and heavy artillery and suwßrbly horsed cavalry paraded with perfect discipline, the crowds £n the grandcommented rapturously: “This is our answer to England.* * There were terrific cheers as the Coceacks swung into view at the gallop, mounted on black horses and with blue* coats and fur capes flying in the wind, their drawn swords flashing in the sun. The Cossacks did not differ outwardly from the troops who were the terror of the peasants in the Tsarist days. The military parade was followed by reserves of workers from Moscow’s trades unions, thousands of men and women armed with rifles. Then came a carnival procession in which no fewer than 20 effigies of Chamberlain were carried. He was also represented with Signor Mussolini as a double-headed dragon.
