BREWERS’ EXHIBITION
DISAPPOINTING WINE ENTRIES Received Nov. 3, 5.5 p.m. (A. & N.Z.) LONDON, Nov. 2. At the brewers’ exhibition the absence of South African entrants in the Empire Wine competitions robbed them of much interest and Australian entries were also poor. Sparkling wines attracted 16 competitors, but in some classes there were only one or two. There were 12 Australian and four New Zealand entries in the colonial barley competition. Canterbury (New Zealand) won the first prize and Yorke Peninsula (South Australia) the second and thind.
