THE BASIC WAGE AUSTRALIAN WORKERS* DEMANDS. Received June 13, 5.5 p.m. (A. and N.Z.) SYDNEY, June 13. The executive of the central branches of the Australian Workers’ Union passed a resolution demanding an immediate increase in the basic wage to £5 6s a week for all adult males.
