The State Government’s recent appointment of six surveyors from New Zealand has brought a protest fom the West Australian Institute of Surveyors and the president of the New Zealand Institute states that the men accepted' the positions in ignorance of the conditions prevailing in the State. The New Zealand body has been informed by the West Australian president that young surveyors here had refused the positions on the salary offered, which had lately been reduced* below the minimum paid in other States.
