PROGRESS
CANADA’S RECORD REMARKABLE NATIONAL WEALTH. A. and N.Z.) OTTAWA, June 12. The total wealth of Canada is estimated at over 22,000,000,000 dollars, according to a bulletin issued by the Canadian Pacific Railway Company, or 2525 dollars per head, which is one of the highest in the world. Agricultural values comprise eight billion dollars’ worth of urban and real estate and six billions for railways. It is significant that per capita wealth, which ignores the undeevloped resources, is the greatest in the four western provinces, where the natural resources other than farm lands, are least developed. There have been remarkable increases in revenue from wool, dairy products, tobacco, and honey, the last of which five years ago was unrecognised by the-? Government, which now enjoys from it a revenue of 2,000,000 dollars.
