FOR CHARITY
SWANKERS’ APPEAL A GOOD RESPONSE The Swankers’ Club appeal yesterday met with a good response, and the money taken amounts to £l4O, with a few returns to come in to-day. Apart from the street collections, there were stalls both in the city and at Aramoho and these were so well patronised, that all the goods were sold. Jn the evening several side-shows attracted those who like a chance for their money, and games for boxes of chocolates were well patronised. The following stall holders assisted: Jumble stall, Mrs Veitch and Mrs Grover; produce stall, Mrs Burns and Mrs Dreyer; cake aaid sweet stall, Mrs Firth, Mrs Bonner, amd Mrs Hall; flower stall, Mrs Gould; meat stall, Messrs Horwell and Rua To Mana.
