GENERAL NEWS The fortnightly dance under the auspices of the Awarua Lodge was held in the Three Stars Hall on Thursday evening when there was a large attendance. The music was supplied by the Lodge orchestra under Mr Smueton while the catering was in the hands of the Lodge officers. Mr T. J. Shute, an old resident of Taihape who came back on a visit to the town last Tuesday, was taken seriously ill and removed to the Taihape Hospital where he was operated on yesterday.
