NURSE’S ASSAILANT TAKEN TO GAOL. LONDON, May 1. “I grasped his throat with one hand and pulled the communication cord with the other,” said Nurse Mary Jones, of Anglesey, at Hawarden Court to-day, describing au assault committed on her in a train between Shotton and Chester.
Arthur Ankers, a platelayer, accused of the offence, denied it. and said he saw some dust on the nurse’s coat and simply removed it. He was sentenced to a month’s harf labour.
