INTO THE DESERT
KRATT SABRE AUR TO BE FILMED Having taken his megaphone to sea for the making of “Old Ironsides” and then up into the French Alps for Wallace Beery’s “The Big Sneeze,” James Cruze is going to fare forth into the heart of the desert.
Cruze has been assigned to transfer to the screen “Beau Sabreur,” Percival Christopher Wren’s famous companion story to 4 ‘Beau Geste.” In “Beau Sabreur,” Cruze will again have the opportunity to display his talent for bringing to the screen big scenes with the sweeping strokes for <hich he has become noted. 4 ‘Beau Sabruer” is both a story of the French Foreign Legion and sheik life in the heart of the Sahara. As its principal characters, it brings back Hank and Buddy, who figured in “Beau Geste.” It is wholly different in theme from the latter, though it has an element of mystery and the locale is the •ame.
